Money and Happiness

Does having lots of money bring happiness?

No.  At least in general terms, that’s not the case.  Don’t get me wrong, I would sooner be loaded and miserable than broke and miserable, but proportionally, there are just as many wealthy people who are unhappy.  Money, by itself, won’t automatically provide happiness.

However, when used appropriately, it can help you connect with others, have unique experiences or do something that makes you feel good.  An important caveat here is not spending beyond what you can afford!  Sharing a meal with a friend = happy.  Maxing your credit card taking a group of people out for an evening = unhappy.  Want to find out how what you spend your money on can contribute to happiness?  Check out this article here.
