New Zealand has more Trusts per head of population than Australia, the US or the UK.
Some commentators have said that is because we have too many lawyers and accountants selling them to customers who just don’t need them. Other commentators give less credit to the sales skills of the professionals, and more to the basic distrust that Kiwis have of their Governments.
